Excerpt from « Huye, hombre, huye – Chroniques de l'enfermement » by Xosé Tarrio Gonzalez (1968-2005). He was imprisoned in Spanish jails since he was 19. He focused on escaping, taking part to mutinies and took hostage prison wardens : he was held responsible (alike dozens of other prisoners) for the Spanish jail riots between the 80s and 90s - A new prisoner-monitoring system was established by the state – FIES – which is still ongoing nowadays.
